 The Wilderness Camp
getting away. Imagine a weekend of relaxing in the beautiful Eagle Cap Wilderness area riding the trails, and looking at breathtaking scenery you
won’t see anywhere else. And yes, someone else will do all the work!
You will arrive on Friday and be matched to a horse that fits your skill level.
All of our horses have been dude horses for years and are very gentle. After
some basic instruction in wilderness horseback riding, you are off on your
first adventure. Bring your camera, and be prepared to see both the elk and
deer that call the Eagle Caps home.
Eat your lunch by a cool mountain stream, rest and relax. You will get
back to camp where dinner will be waiting with songs and s'mores around
the campfire. On Sunday after breakfast and a short ride, mothers and
daughters will enjoy a light lunch and then drive home.
Your Cornucopia base camp has wall tents, wood floors. We have a shower
building with hot water. This is camping at its best.
Mother – Daughter weekends can be combined with horse camper moving
onto horse camp after the weekend with Mom.
New this year we have added some flexible time before Mother Daughter
weekend if you want to spend 4 or 5 days. We also have 3 days in the middle
of the week at a discount. Please check dates & rates.
We suggest you stay at Cornucopia Lodge before your ride.
